Students from the “Planning and Managing Events and Conferences” course in An-Najah National University’s Public Relations & Communication Department organized a youth conference titled Youth 180: Today’s Mark, Tomorrow’s Impact, simulating an international youth event. Held under the guidance of Dr. Suha Sbouh, the conference brought together students, academics, and guest speakers in an interactive, skills-based experience.

The event aimed to build students’ abilities in teamwork, organization, communication, and critical thinking, while raising awareness on social and developmental issues. Dr. Sbouh opened the conference by commending the students’ creativity and professionalism. Mr. Raed Debiy, representing the university administration, emphasized the University’s support for student initiatives and its commitment to hands-on education aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals.

Students led four main sessions featuring youth ambassadors and experts, covering volunteerism, mental health during conflict, entrepreneurship, and the role of technology and AI in shaping the future. Highlights included the “Mish Lhalak” mental health campaign and inspiring stories from student-led initiatives.

The conference also featured video presentations documenting the planning journey and concluded with a recreational sports activity led by Dr. Sulaiman Amad to boost energy and engagement.

This initiative is part of a broader effort by the Public Relations & Communication Department to integrate practical learning into the curriculum. A second round of the conference will be held on May 19, 2025, giving more students the opportunity to present their ideas and talents.
