Majd Waked, a Computer Engineering student at An-Najah National University, participated in the sixth edition of The Association of Arab Universities’s training program, titled “Developing Innovation and Entrepreneurship Skills” for preparing future Arab youth leaders. Held from February 17 to 20, 2025, at the University of Sharjah, in collaboration with the Leadership Preparation Institute at the Egyptian Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, the program gathered 80 students from 18 Arab countries.


The program focused on leadership skills, artificial intelligence in entrepreneurship, strategic planning, and team building, with special emphasis on the role of sustainability in leadership development and achieving the Sustainable Development Goals. Participants also toured the Sharjah Academy for Space Science and Technology and engaged in discussions on leadership, diplomacy, and soft skills. The program not only aimed at academic growth but also fostered cross-cultural exchange among the students, contributing to a stronger sense of unity within the Arab world.

Majd expressed his pride in representing Palestine and thanked An-Najah University and the Deanship of Student Affairs for their unwavering support. Mr. Mohammad Al Daqqa, Dean of Student Affairs, emphasized the importance of student participation in international events and highlighted Majd as a distinguished and active student who continues to represent the University with honor.

This program reflects An-Najah’s commitment to supporting its students’ growth and providing them with opportunities to participate in prestigious international events.
