Dr. Noor Adas Strengthens Academic Ties in Human Rights and Legal Education at University of Florence
Dr. Noor Adas, Dean of the Faculty of Law and Political Science at An-Najah National University, participated in a scientific visit to the University of Florence, Italy, to explore best practices in human rights and equality, in collaboration with the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation.
The visit aimed to enhance academic collaboration and exchange in human rights, gender studies, and the development of legal practices in Palestine based on international standards. The delegation held meetings with the Italian Judicial Institute, the Florence Bar Association, and the Deans of the University of Florence’s Law and Political Science faculties, discussing justice mechanisms and potential collaborations.
Additionally, the delegation engaged with law and political science students at the University of Florence, discussing challenges in Palestinian legal education. The visit also included a roundtable with deans of law faculties from Jordanian universities to discuss integrating human rights and gender studies into academic curricula.
This visit strengthens global collaboration between An-Najah University and academic institutions in Palestine, Jordan, and Italy, in line with An-Najah’s commitment to enhancing legal education through international partnerships and best practices.
