Dr. Sari Taha, Coordinator of the An-Najah Institute for Global Health at An-Najah National University, participated in the World Health Summit 2024, held under the theme “Building Trust for a Healthier World” in Berlin, Germany, from October 13–15, 2024. The summit brought together over 300 distinguished speakers and more than 3,500 professionals, academics, policymakers, and scientists from diverse disciplines related to public and global health. Dr. Taha highlighted that the summit’s multidisciplinary audience provided a unique platform to expand international collaborations and engage with global health leaders, furthering the An-Najah Institute for Global Health’s mission to advance public health in Palestine.


The summit, recognized as the largest global health event of the year, marked a historic moment with the announcement of the largest-ever donation to the World Health Organization (WHO), exceeding $1 billion USD. This unprecedented funding will support critical priorities such as developing innovative financing solutions for global health, combating antibiotic resistance, improving health outcomes for women and children, addressing the impact of climate change on health, empowering youth participation in health advancements, and leveraging artificial intelligence for digital health innovation.

Dr. Taha’s participation underscores An-Najah National University’s commitment to fostering global collaboration in scientific research, promoting innovative approaches to global health challenges, raising public health awareness, and formulating effective disease prevention strategies. The An-Najah Institute for Global Health continues to play a vital role in shaping impactful health initiatives locally and internationally, reaffirming its dedication to creating a healthier, more sustainable future.
