On Tuesday, October 29, 2024, the Language Resources Center (LRC) at An-Najah National University, in collaboration with the Dean of Student Affairs, organized a unique educational event that combined language learning with interactive games, aimed at enriching students' language skills and cultural understanding. The event, held in the University's New Campus, provided students from various faculties the opportunity to practice foreign languages in an engaging and supportive environment.

Participants took part in a diverse range of language-focused games, including Scrabble, Taboo, English Rally, and Pictionary, conducted in languages such as English, Turkish, French, and Russian. Designed to be both educational and entertaining, the event allowed students to immerse themselves in language use through friendly competition and teamwork.

Dr. Louha Samaaneh, Director of the LRC, emphasized that the event aligns with the center’s ongoing mission to offer extracurricular activities that promote practical language development. "This activity provides students with a platform to strengthen their language skills in a relaxed, interactive setting, enhancing their confidence and enthusiasm for learning," Dr. Samaaneh stated. She highlighted the LRC's commitment to creating unique opportunities for language practice that bridge academic study and real-world application.

Mr. Mohammad Daqqa, Dean of Student Affairs, praised the initiative, underscoring the importance of collaborative activities that contribute to students' academic growth and personal development. "This event supports An-Najah University’s vision of fostering an inclusive, quality educational environment that aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly those related to quality education, partnerships, and reducing inequalities," he noted. Mr. Daqqa commended the LRC team, the Public Relations Department, and the Student Affairs staff for their dedicated efforts in making the event a success.

This initiative is part of An-Najah National University's broader commitment to equipping students with critical skills, such as language proficiency and cross-cultural understanding, which are essential in today’s interconnected world. The LRC continues to innovate in language education by incorporating creative methodologies that make learning both accessible and enjoyable, reinforcing the university’s role in preparing students for global engagement and lifelong learning.
