Dr. Bilal Hamamra of An-Najah National University Honored with Abdul Hameed Shoman Foundation Arab Researchers Award for 2024
Dr. Bilal Hamamra, a distinguished Associate Professor of English Literature at An-Najah National University, has been awarded the prestigious Abdul Hameed Shoman Foundation Arab Researchers Award in its 42nd session for the year 2024. Dr. Hamamra was recognized in the field of humanities, social, and educational sciences, specifically in the Discourse Analysis/War of Words category.
The Abdul Hameed Shoman Foundation, the cultural and social responsibility arm of the Arab Bank, established this award in 1982 to acknowledge and promote exceptional scientific contributions. As the first Arab award focused solely on scientific research, it aims to highlight significant achievements across the Arab world. This year’s award attracted 542 applicants from 27 Arab and non-Arab countries, who underwent a rigorous evaluation process conducted by a panel of esteemed scholars from 13 Arab nations.
The award encompasses a range of disciplines, including Medical and Health Sciences, Engineering and Technology Sciences, Basic Sciences, Humanitarian, Social and Educational Sciences, Economics and Administration Sciences, and Water, Energy and Food Sciences. Dr. Hamamra’s achievement underscores his substantial contributions to advancing scientific knowledge and addressing critical issues within his field.
