An-Najah University Signs Joint Cooperation Agreement with Istanbul Aydin University in Turkey
An-Najah National University, under the leadership of its president, Prof. Abdel Nasser Zaid, has signed a comprehensive joint cooperation agreement with Istanbul Aydin University (IAU) in Turkey. The agreement aims to strengthen academic and research partnerships between the two institutions, facilitating the exchange of knowledge and cultural experiences for both staff and students.
The signing ceremony took place at Istanbul Aydin University and was attended by Prof. Mustafa AYDIN, President of IAU. The agreement encompasses various aspects of academic and student exchange, as well as collaborative research projects and programs. It also includes provisions for organizing lectures, seminars, international scientific conferences, workshops, and the development of academic programs.
Prof. Zaid emphasized the significance of this agreement, highlighting its embodiment of academic partnership and constructive international understanding through research cooperation efforts. He also underscored the universities' commitment to expanding collaboration in diverse fields. The agreement further strengthens the existing positive relations between the two countries, and it is expected to provide students with valuable international experiences, enabling them to acquire new knowledge and skills.
The signing of this agreement took place during a visit by Prof. Zaid to Turkey, which aimed to foster stronger cooperation between Palestinian and Turkish universities.
IAU is renowned as one of Turkey's leading universities, boasting a student body of over 40,000 individuals from various countries. This diversity contributes to the university's cultural richness. IAU is equipped with state-of-the-art technology laboratories, a university-affiliated hospital, and several health centers. Furthermore, it has established cooperative relations with over 500 universities worldwide. Additionally, IAU holds a seat on the Board of Directors of the Union of Mediterranean Universities (UNIMED), led by Dr. Kherieh Rassas, Vice President for International and External Affairs of An-Najah University.
