An-Najah National University achieved a significant milestone by becoming the first Arab and Palestinian university to take part in the prestigious First Edition of UniNa Job Shadowing Week, held from May 8th to May 12th, 2023, at the esteemed University of Naples Federico II in Italy. The event, organized under the supervision and coordination of the Erasmus+ program, welcomed universities from across Europe, with An-Najah National University standing out as the sole representative from Palestine and the Arab region.


Dr. Dia Aref, representing An-Najah University's Department of Chemistry and serving as the academic coordinator of the Erasmus+ grant with the Department of Chemical Sciences at the University of Naples, joined the distinguished delegation.

Dr. Manar Abdel Razek, representing the Department of Biomedical Sciences and acting as the academic coordinator of the Erasmus+ grant with the Department of Pharmacy and Health Sciences at the University of Naples, and Dr. Muhammad Kadri, Director of the Department of Biomedical Sciences also participated in the event.

Throughout the week-long event, An-Najah University representatives actively engaged in numerous seminars and meetings, interacting with a diverse group of representatives from member universities of the Erasmus+ program, in collaboration with the University of Naples.

During the event, Dr. Kadri took the opportunity to acquaint attendees with An-Najah University's comprehensive academic programs, emphasizing their alignment with the regional and international labor market. He also highlighted the remarkable research achievements of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences.

Dr. Aref provided valuable insights into An-Najah University's Faculty of Science, offering an overview of its academic programs, departments, and significant research accomplishments.

Furthermore, Dr. Abdel Razek shed light on the current state of scientific research in Palestine and the challenges faced by Palestinian women in scientific and practical realms.

This momentous week also featured exclusive invitations extended to representatives of An-Najah University, allowing them to visit the Faculties of Medicine and Pharmacy, as well as the Department of Chemical Sciences at the University of Naples. The delegates seized the opportunity to engage with representatives of Erasmus and MUNA grants, exploring avenues to enhance collaborative relations between the aforementioned departments and foster broader research cooperation and exchange between An-Najah and the University of Naples Federico II.
