The forum aimed to share research results and recommendations in mathematics education with partners and interested parties. It was attended by male and female teachers from government, private and UNRWA schools as well as from various Palestinian universities.

Dr. Abdul-Jabbar Al-Hodali, General Manager of Rafah talked about the role of this forum aims to consider objectively new ideas and diverse views in mathematics education, to facilitate consensus and to promote the enhancement of mathematics education in Palestine".

The forum included discussions about issues and topics in mathematics education at all levels, with special emphasis on education in Palestine. Also, the participants identified several areas for development with respect to possible changes that could improve education in mathematics.

Among the several issues discussed, a special attention has been given to to foster the development of new ideas, methodologies and materials that could improve education in mathematics, and to work for the implementation of such changes.

The forum included presentations about studies on several topics including learning loss in mathematics, impact of COVID-19 pandemic on teaching mathematics, and modern trends in mathematics education.
