An-Najah Celebrates PAMA Scholarship Recipients
An-Najah National University in cooperation with the Palestinian American Medical Association (PAMA) held a celebration to recognize and celebrate university student PAMA scholarship recipients, and thank those who make it all possible on Thursday, September 9, 2021.
The event was attended by Dr. Moath Nairat, Representative of PAMA in Palestine, Dr. Abdul-Salam Al-Khayyat, Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Khalil Issa, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, Mr. Rashid Al-Kukhun, Director of Finance, and Mr. Khaled Al-Husseini, Director of the Public Relations Department at the University.
The student attendees had the unique opportunity to cultivate relationships with PAMA representatives whose support plays an integral part in their educational pursuits.
The event also featured remarks from Dr. Al-Khayyat who welcomed the attendees commending the complementary relationship between the University and PAMA. He thanked the representatives of PAMA for offering support to the Palestinian universities. Also, he talked about the important role that PAMA plays in promoting health care in the West Bank and Gaza Strip, and helping medical students in the Palestinian universities through their higher education journey.
Dr. Nairat briefed the participants about PAMA's mission and vision, and pointed out that PAMA aims at collaborating with Palestinian health institutes and non-governmental organizations (NGOs) to help promote health care in West Bank and Gaza, and promoting interaction with the Palestinian universities to assist medical students succeed in higher education.
At the end of the ceremony, the student attendees expressed gratitude for PAMA scholarships and thanked the representatives of PAMA for providing them with a huge help for their tuition.
