The Nutrition and Food Technology Department Participates in the ESPEN LLL Courses
Dr. Manal Badrasawi and Ms. Alma Irshaid from the Nutrition and Food Technology Department at An-Najah University recently participated in the ESPEN LLL Courses during the period January 24-25, 2020 in Amman, Jordan.
The ESPEN Life Long Learning (LLL) Program in Clinical Nutrition and Metabolism is an innovative and effective educational program for medical doctors and healthcare specialists offering training courses, by a variety of modern training methodologies and resources.
Moreover, it is a global effort of the European Society for Clinical Nutrition and Metabolism (ESPEN) to provide post-graduate qualification in Clinical Nutrition and to improve daily practice.
The aim of these training courses is to improve knowledge, competence and skills of health professionals in Clinical Nutrition and Metabolism while providing CME credits and European certification for medical doctors.
The Live Long Learning (LLL) courses provide an opportunity for participants and lecturers to share expertise and cross-fertilize ideas.
Topics of the LLL courses for this year included nutritional support in the perioperative period, nutritional support in intensive care patients, nutrition in pediatric patients II and nutrition support in obesity.
ESPEN is committed to disseminate good clinical practice in the field of clinical nutrition and metabolism. To this end and among other activities, the ESPEN Course in Clinical Nutrition Course is organized every year.
