An-Najah Professor Participates in the IT-Dreps 2017 Conference
Mr. Muhannad Al-Jabi, Lecturer at the Computer Engineering Department has recently participated in the 2nd International Conference on the Applications of Information Technology in Developing Renewable Energy Processes and Systems (IT-Dreps 2017).
The event was over two days from December 6th – December 7th, 2017 at the University of Petra in Jordan and was attended by a number of academics and experts around the world
The conference themes included applications of renewable energy in smart and green cities, Renewable Energy Sources and Systems (RESS), smart and green cities management, economics and future challenges and smart renewable energy.
Mr. Al-Jabi presented two research papers titled: "Toward an IoT-Enabled Adaptive Interactive Bus Transportation system" and "IoT-Enabled Citizen Attractive Waste Management System".

The conference sponsor was the Scientific Research Support Fund and the technical co-sponsors were the IEEE Jordan Section and the National Research University Moscow Power Engineering.
IT-DREPS 2017 focused on the highly evolving topic of Smart and Green Cities, and aimed to provide a platform for academicians, researchers, professionals and decision makers who are interesting in the areas of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) and Renewable Energy (RE) to disseminate knowledge and interchange information for better future collaboration on developing more cost-effective, efficient, reliable and automated renewable energy processes and systems.
