On Saturday, October 5th 2017, the Student Branch of the American Association of Civil Engineers at An-Najah National University participated in the Wooden Bridges Competition which was held at the University of Jordan.


The competition included 15 teams from a number of Jordanian universities in addition to An-Najah National University where A-Najah team won second place.

The team included elite students from the Civil Engineering and Construction Engineering Departments at An-Najah. The students were Salah Hanaysheh, Ahmed Abu Arra, Baker Bouziya, Aseel Al-Khatib, Ahlam Damrah and Yazan Asia, Head of the Student Branch.

The students’ efforts have paid off eventually as they won first place regarding stamina and second place regarding general assessment.

On this occasion, Professor Maher Natsheh, Acting President of An-Najah commended the students’ hard work and congratulated them on winning the second place.

The association in turn thanked the An-Najah administration and the General Union of Palestinian Engineers for their support to the association and its activities.

It is worth mentioning that the Student Branch of the American Association of Civil Engineers at An-Najah is preparing for the Second National Competition of Wooden Bridges which will be held on November 25th, 2017.   The Branch is also looking forward to participate in the Regional Competition which will be held in Dubai next year.
