The workshop took place at the Faculty of Science Auditorium in the New Campus and was moderated by Dr. Ahmed Bassalat, Chair of WISHEPP and staff member at the Physics Department at An-Najah.

Dr. Bassalat announced that the school will be launched on Sunday, November 12^th, 2017 over a week. The inauguration ceremony will take place at the Prince Turki Bin Abdul Aziz Theater in the New Campus and will be attended by a large number of international scientists and researchers in physics.

He mentioned that physics students from all Palestinian universities were invited to attend the event including students from Gaza.

Dr. Bassalat also talked about the results and achievements of the first winter school, most important of which were offering the school programme to a large number of physics students in cooperation with Paris-Sud 11 University and CERN in addition to offering several scholarships for the students and introducing a large number of school students to different physics disciplines which encouraged them to enroll in An-Najah's physics programme.

In his speech. Dr. Mohammad Al-Amleh, Vice President of Academic Affairs commended the department's distinguished students and staff members and added that the winter school is a portal to new collaboration with international universities and research centres.

At the end of the workshop, participating students talked about their experience in the winter school and its benefits on their academic and research studies.

• The workshop was also attended by Dr. Majdi Dwikat, Assistant Vice President for Academic Affairs and Dr. Maen Ishtaiwi, Head of the Physics Department as well as a large number of the university academic and administrative staff and students.
