An-Najah Celebrates the Graduation Ceremony for the Summer Course Graduates
On Monday, August 28th, 2017, and under the patronage of President Mahmoud Abbas, An-Najah National University celebrated the graduation ceremony for the summer course graduates including the 15th and 37th cohort of the Hisham Hijjawi College of Technology and An-Najah National Community College graduates.
The event took place at the Hikmat Al-Masri Amphitheater in the New Campus and was attended by Dr. Hani Nabulsi, member of An-Najah Board of Trustees; Professor Maher Natsheh, Acting President; the university vice presidents and assistants; faculty deans; heads of departments and a number of An-Najah’s administrative and academic bodies.
In his speech, Prof. Natsheh welcomed the attendees and said that An-Najah National University has been a beacon of excellence and innovation and overcomes the political and financial difficulties it always encounters.
He said that the University focuses on developing its academic programmes and establishes new ones for the graduate and undergraduate levels. It also offers the students a friendly academic environment to encourage their innovation and excellence.
He clarified that An-Najah is the top university in Palestine, 23rd in the Arab World and among top universities in the world and has obtained the ABET Accreditation for 9 engineering programmes. He also said that the University was able to make An-Najah National University Hospital a distinguished medical centre nationally.
Prof. Natsheh extended his greetings to the Palestinian government headed by President Mahmoud Abbas and Prime Minister Prof. Rami Hamdallah where he thanked them for supporting the University. He went on to express his gratitude to the Board of Trustees on their efforts, thanking as well the University staff, graduation committee and the deans and heads of departments that have contributed to serving An-Najah.
He then congratulated the graduates and their parents and wished them a bright future and a life filled with achievements.
Finally, Prof. Natsheh, the vice presidents, the president’s assistants and the Dean of Admission and Registration warded the graduates with their certificates.
