An-Najah Professor Participates in a Scientific Visit to Morocco and France
Professor Shehdeh Jodeh, staff member at An-Najah’s Chemistry Department participated in the First International Conference on Civil Engineering and Materials (ICCEM’2017).
The conference was over four days from May 10th – May 13th, 2017 and took place in Al-Hoceima, Morocco.
Prof. Jodeh was a keynote speaker and gave a lecture on his paper: “Chemical structural characterization of pyrolyzed and subsequently ion-implanted poly(acrylonitrile)” which was published by Elsevier and SAGE.
Prof. Joudeh also gave a lecture at Ibn Zohr University in Agadir on his paper: “Electrochemical degradation of pesticide azoxystrobin by anodic oxidation on boron-doped diamond”.
As part of ENVIRO-MED project, Prof. Jodeh also visited Reims University in France where he worked for a week with Dr. Abdul Khaliq Shaker on disposal of unwanted pesticides in environments like greenhouses.
At the end of the visit, Prof. Jodeh discussed possible means of mutual cooperation with Reims University to dispatch An-Najah chemistry students to complete their PhD theses at Reims.
