On Thursday, May 11th, 2017, Dr. Maen Samarah, Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine of An-Najah received Dr. David Lane and Dr. Louis Kwantes from Christian Vet – Mission.


The delegation talked about the Christian Vet – Mission activities in the Arab World and discussed the possibility to organize scientific visits to American veterinary medicine researchers to offer training and give lectures on livestock to the faculty students and staff members. They mentioned that these visits aim at exchanging academic and research experiences between the American and Palestinian veterinary medicine schools.

At the end of their visit, the delegation was given a tour of the faculty’s farms to learn about their role in student training.

The meeting was also attended by Dr. Sameh Abu Seir, Head of the Veterinary Medicine Division; Dr. Nimer Khreim and Dr. Belal Abu Hilal.

Christian Veterinary Mission is an American organization founded in 1976 in response to a need in the developing world for training in animal health. It aims at developing relationships between veterinary professionals and veterinary students around the world.
