On Thursday, April 6th, 2017, the Practical Training Centre at An-Najah hosted a delegation from the Middle East Investment Initiative (MEII) to offer training to the university accounting students.


The meeting is part of an agreement signed between An-Najah and MEII in which both parties agreed to implement training programmes for An-Najah’s accounting and financial sciences students.

At the beginning of the meeting, Professor Amer Hamouz, Director of the Practical Training Centre thanked MEII for their cooperation and support to An-Najah students.

Mr. Basem Gheith, Coordinator of Practical Training welcomed Ms Faouz Abu Hijleh, MEII representative and stressed the importance of practical training as it tests students’ abilities and develops their skills.

In turn, Ms Abu Hijleh briefed the students on the programme stages and duration. She mentioned that the programme’s first stage includes intensive training on one of the accounting systems. Then, the students are distributed over different ongoing small businesses in the West Bank.

Ms Abu Hijleh also talked about the project’s benefits as it improves students’ job opportunities in the future.

It is worth mentioning that the programme offers committed students a number of financial rewards.
