A Canadian Diplomatic Delegation Visits An-Najah
On Thursday, July 28th, 2016 Professor Maher Natsheh, Acting President of An-Najah received at his office from the Representative Office of Canada Ms. Sidny Fisher, Acting Head of Mission and Ms Inas Odeh, Political Trade Assistant and Programming Coordinator.
The visit aimed at discussing means of possible cooperation between An-Najah and Canadian universities especially in the field of virtual training.
Prof. Natsheh welcomed the guests and briefed them on An-Najah’s academic programs, campuses, faculties, and scientific centers. He also talked about the university’s academic achievements and cooperation with international institutions, as well as An-Najah National University Hospital. He also talked about and the political and financial challenges that encounter higher education in Palestine.
Dr. Mohammad El-Amleh, Vice President for Academic Affairs, who also attended the meeting, talked about An-Najah’s community service Centre and the training medical students receive at the University Hospital.
The parties then discussed the feasibility of a virtual training programme for medical students proposed by a Canadian University.
