An-Najah Student Ahmed Hawash has recently participated in the “Innovation Space” training programme in Poland. The programme was supported by the Partners for Sustainable Development-NETKETABi Institution in coordination with Ms. Suheir Al-Saleh, Coordinator of the Competency Development Unit at An-Najah.


The programme aims at developing An-Najah students’ skills trough exchanging experiences in the field of applied technology.

The start-up companies in the capital Warsaw introduced their projects and products in applied technology and artificial intelligence.

An-Najah delegation also visited the Fap-lab and the “Hacker Space” where they learned about designing robots and building fab-labs. They also met with a group of experts in IT, IT engineering and information security and other entrepreneurs in innovation spaces.

The delegation also met with Dr. Azmi Al-Daqqa, Palestine’s Ambassador to Poland Republic.

  • The programme was supervised by Ms Saba Jarrar, Director of the Content Development and E-Learning Unit at the Sustainable Development Institution.
  • NETKETABi, meaning “My Netbook” in Arabic, is a multi-dimensional educational solution that aims at building the competencies of Palestinian youth. NETKETABi provides school-aged youth with customized laptops containing interactive educational content along with services that promote intellectual stimulation in and out of the classroom. It engages youth in a self-learning empowered environment and creates opportunities for K-12 students to develop 21st Century skills, including critical thinking, innovation, collaboration, and communication.
