Professor Maher Natsheh, Acting President of An-Najah inaugurated the Andalus Exhibition, organized by the International Youth Exchange Programme of the Public Relations Department at An-Najah in the Old Campus Library.


The exhibition was part of the students’ initiatives project and included photo collection of Andalusia cities, heritage and history.

The event also included a seminar moderated by Professors Wael Abu Saleh and Yahya Jaber who recited Andalusian poems from different time periods. They also talked about Andalusia’s impact on the Arab Islamic culture.

Notes:

  • The exhibition was for five days from January 24-28, 2016.
  • Andalusia (Al-Andalus), also known as Muslim Spain or Islamic Iberia, was a medieval Muslim territory and cultural domain occupying at its peak most of what are today Spain and Portugal. At its greatest geographical extent in the eighth century, southern France was briefly under its control.
