Faculty of Medicine and Deanship of Student Affairs Conclude “R.I.S.E. 2 H.E.A.L.” Awareness Campaign
The Faculty of Medicine and Allied Medical Sciences and the Deanship of Student Affairs at An-Najah National University concluded the “R.I.S.E. 2 H.E.A.L.” awareness campaign on Wednesday, 17 December 2025. The campaign was organized by the Palestinian Medical Students’ Association – Nablus (PMSA – Nablus), in cooperation with the Friends of Kidney Patients Association, and witnessed wide student and community participation.
The campaign focused on promoting children’s rights—including access to healthcare, education, protection, and a dignified life—while raising awareness of kidney failure and the health, psychological, and social challenges faced by patients and their families. The activities reflected the University’s commitment to social responsibility and its alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly good health and well-being, quality education, and reduced inequalities.
Held at the Faculty of Medicine courtyard at the New Campus, the campaign featured interactive awareness activities, educational booths, and open community dialogue, in addition to the launch of a winter clothing and supplies donation campaign to support children and kidney failure patients.
The event was attended by representatives of the University administration, faculty members, student leaders, and volunteers. Participants emphasized the importance of student-led initiatives in strengthening community engagement, promoting volunteerism, and integrating health and human rights within meaningful awareness programs.
The campaign concluded by highlighting the need to sustain such initiatives that support vulnerable groups and contribute to building a more aware and compassionate society, in line with the University’s mission and community-focused role.
