Students from An-Najah University participate in the "Steps Toward Sustainability" Conference & Exhibition
Students from An-Najah National University took part in the "Steps Toward Sustainability" Conference & Exhibition, held at the Carmel Hotel in Ramallah on April 23, 2025, and organized by the Palestine Green Building Council. Guided by Dr. Wasim Salama and Mr. Basher Zamil, the group included students from the "Building Construction Systems in Architecture 2" course and the Student Association for Sustainable Development. Their participation reflects the University’s commitment to supporting the Sustainable Development Goals, especially in education, partnerships, and sustainable communities.
The exhibition promoted green building and sustainability in Palestine, featuring laws, success stories, rating systems, case studies, and incentives, alongside products for contractors and building owners. Participants called for adopting green practices across all sectors, boosting environmental awareness, expanding green spaces, and developing long-term strategies for sustainable development.
Mr. Zamil highlighted that the visit aligns with the Association’s vision and policy to empower students and expose them to valuable experiences that support sustainable development both within and beyond the university.
