An-Najah National University, through its Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology and the Deanship of Student Affairs, has officially launched the “Imran Podcast,” an initiative organized by the American Institute of Architecture Students (AIAS). The podcast aligns with the university’s commitment to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly in promoting quality education and sustainable urban development.


The launch event, held at the Law Auditorium on the New Campus, was attended by distinguished guests, including Dr. Muhannad Haj Hussein, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology; Dr. Sameh Monna, Director of the Civil and Architectural Engineering Department; Dr. Asad Arandi, AIAS Advisor; and Mr. Anan Nasser, Coordinator of Student Associations at the Deanship of Student Affairs. Additionally, Kinda Hawash, President of AIAS, along with faculty members, students, and architecture enthusiasts, participated in the event.

The program featured a documentary on AIAS, showcasing the benefits of membership and participation mechanisms. Students also shared insights from their international internship experiences in Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Jordan, Tunisia, and Hungary, discussing the skills they acquired and the impact of these experiences on their professional growth.

During his remarks, Dr. Haj Hussein highlighted the role of student-led activities in enhancing both academic and professional development, commending AIAS for its impactful initiatives on local and international levels. He reaffirmed the faculty’s commitment to supporting student associations in launching initiatives like the “Imran Podcast,” which serves as a platform for knowledge exchange and skill development. Mr. Nasser praised the Faculty of Engineering for preparing students to compete on a global scale and emphasized the crucial role of architects in Palestine’s reconstruction and global architectural advancements. He also congratulated Kinda Hawash on her election as the AIAS Middle East Regional Director, a testament to An-Najah students’ international excellence. Dr. Monna further underscored the value of international internships in shaping students’ skills and professional perspectives, encouraging them to pursue global opportunities for continuous learning and career advancement.

In her closing remarks, Hawash introduced the first-month theme of the podcast, “Beyond Borders,” celebrating students who have transcended geographical boundaries to achieve international success. The inaugural episode featured students discussing their internship experiences abroad, the challenges they faced, and the valuable lessons they gained, serving as an inspiration for their peers. The “Imran Podcast” marks a significant milestone in An-Najah’s efforts to empower students, providing a platform for knowledge-sharing, networking, and professional development within the architectural community.
