In a new national achievement added to its growing record of excellence, Muhja, the student company from An-Najah National University, has won the Best Student Company award as well as the Most Innovative Idea award in the university category at the national level for 2025.

The recognition came during the closing ceremony of the Student Company Program, organized by INJAZ Palestine on Monday, July 14, 2025, at the Ramallah Municipality Theatre. The event was held under the patronage of H.E. Dr. Amjad Barham, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, in partnership with the education sector and the private sector in Palestine, and attended by a wide range of stakeholders from both sectors.

The event featured strong competition among student companies representing universities across Palestine, with teams presenting their entrepreneurial projects before expert judging panels.

The Muhja team consists of students from various disciplines—including engineering, digital marketing, accounting, interior design, optometry, and medical laboratory sciences—under the supervision of Mr. Basem Ghaith from An-Najah’s Innovation Park. The students underwent intensive training focused on transforming entrepreneurial ideas into startup companies, developing organizational, administrative, and financial structures, and strengthening soft skills such as communication and presentation. The team was trained by Eng. Hana Hamdan, Director of INJAZ Palestine’s Nablus Office, and Eng. Muhannad Hamran, a volunteer from Ooredoo Palestine.

The company’s winning project is an interactive digital application that provides a specialized platform to support mothers during the first 1,000 days of their child’s life. The app connects mothers with pediatric healthcare professionals and offers a suite of AI-powered features and services designed to assist with various stages of early childhood care. The innovation enhances the quality of maternal and child support while raising awareness of family health and wellbeing.

The project received wide acclaim from the judging panels and attendees from both the public and private sectors.

Notably, Muhja is now preparing to represent Palestine in the upcoming regional competition for university student companies, organized by INJAZ Al-Arab. The event will be held later this year in the Arab Republic of Egypt, where Muhja will proudly serve as a voice for Palestinian innovation and entrepreneurship on the regional stage.
