An-Najah University Ranked First in Palestine and 75 in the Middle East According to SCImago Institutions Rankings
Prof. Maher Natsheh, An-Najah University President announced that the University was ranked first in Palestine and 75 among Middle East universities and is among 700 world universities according to SCImago Institutions Rankings.
SCImago Institutions Rankings is a science evaluation resource to assess worldwide universities and research-focused institutions. Academic and research-related institutions are ranked by a composite indicator that combines three different sets of indicators based on research performance, innovation outputs and societal impact.
The inclusion criterion is that the institutions had published at least 100 works included in the SCOPUS database during the last year of the selected time period. According to SCImgo website the indicators are as follows:

Prof. Natsheh also mentioned that An-Najah University had other achievements during the academic year 2019/2020, most important was being 1st Palestinian university and 46th in the Arab World according to QS University Rankings.
The University also ranked among the best 301 +universities worldwide in the Times Higher Education University Impact Rankings, which assess universities against the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), making An-Najah the only Palestinian university on the list.
