An-Najah Receives WFME-Recognized International Accreditation for its Doctor of Medicine Program from the Jordanian Accreditation and Quality Assurance Commission
An-Najah National University has received the special accreditation certificate for its Doctor of Medicine (MD) program from the Jordanian Accreditation and Quality Assurance Commission, which is recognized by the World Federation for Medical Education (WFME) as the authorized body for accrediting medical schools in Jordan and the region.
The certificate was awarded during an official meeting held at the Commission’s headquarters in Amman, attended by Prof. Dhafer Al-Sarayreh, President of the Accreditation and Quality Assurance Commission for Higher Education Institutions (HEAC), and a University delegation comprising Dr. Nidal Dwaikat, Vice President for Planning, Development, and Quality and head of the international accreditation file, and Dr. Faris Abu Shamma, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Allied Medical Sciences.
The meeting was also attended by Prof. Saad Bani Mohammad, Vice President of the Commission, and Dr. Amal Al-Tarawneh, Director of the Directorate of Quality Assurance and Ranking.
It is noteworthy that An-Najah National University is the first Palestinian university to renew international accreditation and to obtain full and unconditional accreditation for its Doctor of Medicine program.
