An-Najah Ranks 1st in Palestine, 7th in Arab World, among Best 101-200 Universities in the World in THE University Impact Rankings 2022
An-Najah National University has been ranked 1st in Palestine, 7th in the Arab World and among the best 200 Universities in the world in the 2022 edition of the Times Higher Education Impact Rankings, which assess universities against the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This comes after the announcement of the ranking results on April 27, 2022.
The THE Impact Rankings are the only international assessment to evaluate how universities’ programs and initiatives align with the SDGs. This set of 17 wide-ranging goals is central to the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, a universal call to protect the planet and its people.
The rankings measure the actions universities are taking to advance the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) both within and beyond their local communities.
A record 1,524 institutions from 110 countries/regions have participated across the rankings this year, a 23 per cent increase since last year, reflecting the growing importance of the SDGs within higher education institutions globally.
