New Research Achievement at An-Najah University on the Impact of Domestic Violence on Social Policies in Palestine
A new study has been published examining the issue of domestic violence in Palestine and its role in shaping social policies, highlighting one of the most sensitive and impactful social issues affecting community stability and cohesion. The research employs an advanced explanatory sequential mixed-methods approach, combining quantitative and qualitative techniques, to provide an in-depth analysis of the social and institutional dimensions of this phenomenon and support efforts to develop more effective policies to protect affected groups and promote social justice.
The study, titled “Domestic Violence and Social Policy Formation in Palestine: An Explanatory Sequential Mixed-Methods Study”, was published in the peer-reviewed journal Frontiers in Sociology, issued by the international publisher Frontiers Media SA. The journal is indexed in Scopus and Web of Science (ESCI) and ranked in the first quartile (Q1) according to Scimago, reflecting the study’s scientific quality, robust methodology, and strong research outputs.
This research was conducted by a team from An-Najah University, including Dr. AbdelAlrahim Shobaki from the Faculty of Law and Political Science (first and corresponding author) and Ms. Noura Shafie from the Graduate Studies Faculty. This publication highlights the University’s role in producing knowledge on Palestinian societal issues and its contribution to developing research aimed at supporting public policy and social development, in line with the University’s mission to serve the community and promote impactful scientific research.
