In a collaborative research achievement, a team from An-Najah National University and Al-Istiqlal University has published a joint study titled “The Authority of Administrative Control in Achieving Road Safety: An Analytical Study of the Palestinian Case” in the An-Najah University Journal for Law and Economics, a peer-reviewed, open-access journal known for its academic rigor, transparency, and adherence to ethical research standards.

The research team includes Dr. Fadi Alawneh, Associate Professor of Public Law at Al-Istiqlal University; Marah Hamdallah, a student from the Faculty of Law and Political Science at An-Najah; and Mr. Moath Hammad, a legal researcher from An-Najah.

The study examines the role of administrative control authorities in promoting road safety in Palestine. It recommends the enactment of a comprehensive road safety law, the establishment of a specialized inter-institutional unit that brings together relevant authorities, and the empowerment of municipalities and local governance bodies to monitor road infrastructure and enhance administrative oversight of vehicles and drivers.

This joint publication marks a significant step toward developing public policy frameworks aimed at improving road safety, protecting citizens, and reducing traffic-related incidents across Palestine.
