Professor Mohammed Abu-Jafar from the Physics Department at An-Najah National University has published three pioneering research papers on hydrogen as a promising energy source in prestigious peer-reviewed international journals. The first study was published in the International Journal of Hydrogen Energy, which holds an impact factor of 8.1, is ranked in the first quartile (Q1) globally according to Scopus, and is issued by leading international publishers. The second study appeared in Surfaces and Interfaces, with an impact factor of 5.7, also ranked Q1 worldwide and published by Elsevier. The third research was published in the Journal of Materials Research and Technology, which has an impact factor of 6.2, classified as Q1, and published by Elsevier.

These studies focus on hydrogen storage, one of the most critical and rapidly growing research areas due to its increasing importance as a clean energy source. The research results indicate that the proposed materials are highly suitable for next-generation hydrogen storage applications because of their excellent gravimetric capacity and stability.

This achievement underscores the academic and scientific excellence of An-Najah University and its leadership role in advancing innovative scientific research. It also reflects the University’s commitment to supporting its researchers and enhancing their international presence through impactful and high-quality studies.
