An-Najah Institute for Global Health Partners with University of Texas Researchers on Children's Nutrition and Physical Activity Studies

To enhance international research collaboration, An-Najah Institute for Global Health is partnering with Texas A&M University to develop and validate the Arabic version of the FNPA questionnaire, already available in English and Spanish.
The research team will use precise scientific methods to translate and validate the questionnaire for Arabic speakers in Palestine, considering cultural differences. The partnership also includes a study to assess these behaviors post-translation, measure food insecurity in Palestinian families, and evaluate dietary habits and physical activity in children and parents.
This validated questionnaire assesses the home health environment and parenting practices in nutrition and physical activity across ten areas. Food security is defined as having reliable access to sufficient, safe, and nutritious food for a healthy, active life.
Through this partnership, the An-Najah Institute for Global Health advances scientific research and family health in Palestine, reaffirming its commitment to global health principles and international collaboration for better health outcomes.
