As part of a collaborative research initiative between An-Najah National University and the University of Lille in France, Saleh Qanazeh, a doctoral candidate specializing in "Smart Cities and Digital Innovation in Urban Development," has achieved significant recognition by publishing four research papers in leading scientific journals. These publications address critical urban challenges in Palestine, focusing on the integration of spatial and social data through innovative modeling and digitization techniques.

The first paper, published in Land, a Q1-ranked journal in the field of natural sciences with a Scopus-indexed impact factor of 3.2 and a CiteScore of 4.9, examines the efficiency of urban service distribution. Using spatial syntax theory, the study digitizes physical and social factors to provide actionable insights for enhancing service distribution in Palestinian cities.

The second paper, featured in Urban Science (Q1-ranked in urban studies, impact factor 2.1, CiteScore 4.3), presents a socio-spatial analysis methodology for urban planning based on the "15-minute city" concept. This methodology was applied to the city of Nablus, offering strategies for sustainable and inclusive neighborhood design.

The third paper, published in An-Najah University Journal for Research - A (Natural Sciences) and indexed in Scopus, explores the impact of outdoor space design on student behavior. The case study conducted at An-Najah National University provides valuable recommendations for creating more engaging and functional academic environments.

Additionally, Qanazeh contributed a chapter to a book published by Springer Nature, which builds on a research paper he presented at the 8th Smart City Applications International Conference in Paris in 2023.

These studies were conducted in collaboration with a multidisciplinary research team from An-Najah National University's Faculty of Engineering, the University of Lille, and the University of East Paris. The joint efforts underscore the commitment to developing innovative urban solutions that address local challenges while contributing to global research on smart cities and urban innovation.
