An-Najah’s Researchers Lead National and Arab Rankings in the Alper-Doger Scientific Index
Researchers from An-Najah National University have secured prominent positions both nationally and across the Arab world in the recently published Alper-Doger Scientific Index, a globally recognized ranking system for researchers. Dr. Ahmad Bassalat, Assistant Professor in the Department of Physics, distinguished himself by attaining the 11th position in the Arab world and the top spot in Palestine. Additionally, Professor Ismail Warad was ranked 5th, Professor Waleed Sweileh 7th, and Professor Sa'ed Zyoud 8th at the national level. Other notable rankings include Professor Samah Al-Jabi in 12th place, Professor Samir Khudair in 14th, and Professor Tamer Khatib in 15th. Dr. Amira Shaheen was ranked 18th, Professor Ansam Sawalha 22nd, and Dr. Shehdeh Jodeh 27th. Impressively, An-Najah University had four researchers among the top 10 in Palestine, the highest representation of any Palestinian university.

The Alper-Doger Scientific Index uses specialized criteria that focus on the longevity of research and short-term citation metrics over a six-year period.
