Prof. Allam Mousa
Vice President for Academic Affairs
   
The Minister of Telecom & IT (2014-2019) and also the Minister of Transport (2014-2015) at the Palestinian National Reconciliation Government. He led several active teams, who have resolved several serious and fatal challenges to achieve dramatically essential goals particularly in the field of advanced telecom networks in Palestine (i.e., 3G services, mobile coverage and high-speed internet). In addition, He was Deputy President for Planning, Development and Quality Assurance (2009-2014), Chairman of Electrical Engineering Department (2002-2009) at An-Najah University, and Head of Electronics Engineering Department (1999-2000) at Al-Quds University. Prof. Mousa is interested in promoting Higher Education and ICT for the advancement of the society and its sustainability. He is also interested in areas like; Digital Transformation, Strategic Thinking, Performance Management and Stakeholder Engagement. Prof. Mousa has accomplished significant achievements in the field of higher education particularly in topics like institutional development, quality assurance, excellence, strategic planning and governance. With his team leader, they has achieved several national and international related awards and certificates for his institutions, such achievements include; “Yasser Arafat Achievement Award”, “Committed to Excellence -C2E award by EFQM”, “Palestine International Award for Excellence and Creativity” and “Institutional Evaluation Program -IEP by EUA”. During his career, he has participated in several international and national conferences and high-level meetings as a keynote speaker and policy maker particularly in the fields of higher education & ICT (Regulations & Industry). He also worked as an expert/consultant for several national and international institutions like Accreditation and Quality Assurance Commission (AQAC) and UNDP. Dr. Nedal Jayousi
Director of the National Erasmus Office in Palestine
   
Dr. Nedal Rashed Al-Jayousi is a Palestinian Academic who holds a PhD in Education. He is a Prize winner as a leading educator in rapprochement. Nedal Jayousi has been the Country Representative of the Higher Education Reform Committee and the Country Rep. of the Palestinian European Cooperation in Palestine since 2011. He is a Steering Committee Member of the Higher Council of Innovation and Excellence. Dr Jayousi has a wide experience in various education both in his capcity as a university Professor and as a diplomat. Dr. Jayousi is an honorary board head of 15 educational NGOs and CBOs in Palestine and the region. Dr. Jayousi was the regional Director of the Palestinian Reform Fund at the Prime Minister’s Office and was the Regional Director of the Capacity Building Program in 13 countries. He has two decades of experience as a Team leader and freelance consultant for prominent key programs and 10 years as a University professor and Policy maker at a national level. Dr. Jayousi is a well-known educational trainer and researcher in Palestine, Jordan, Lebanon, Egypt and USA. He was Team Leader of the UN’s largest Capacity Building Program for Managing for Results and Impact (CaMaRI) covering 13 countries in the Middle East and Africa for three years with 89 staff members. He was also the Senior Education Specialist by the World Bank for five Years in the MENA region. Dr Jayousi also led the Palestinian Reform fund with 85 Million Euros that supports the Prime Minister and all the ministries in Palestine. He was appointed by the 5th Government as a Deputy Minister of Women’s Affairs, where he led its strategic plan. He also worked as a Senior Advisor for the Austrian and Belgian representative offices. He was also the Team leader for developing the National Food Security Strategy through a fund from the UNICEF that was ratified by the Cabinet. He also took part in developing the HE education strategy and the new Palestinian educational law.
Helen Beetham
   
Helen Beetham is a digital literacies researcher and consultant based at the University of Wolverhampton’s Institute of Education. She has worked for over 20 years on projects in digital higher education, including in the UK, Ireland, Australia and Europe. Her digital capability framework is widely used in higher and further education, healthcare and the heritage sector. She is currently researching approaches to critical digital learning. In August 2020 she helped ALT to design and launch the Open Covid Pledge for Education: https://www.alt.ac.uk/about-alt/what-we-do/open-covid-pledge-education.
John Traxler
   
Professor of Digital Learning in the Education Observatory at the University of Wolverhampton. He is a Founding Director and current Vice-President of the International Association for Mobile Learning. He is co-editor of six books including the definitive book, Mobile Learning: A Handbook for Educators and Trainers, and Critical Mobile Pedagogy. He is co-author of Mobilizing Mathematics: Case Studies of Mobile Learning being used in Mathematics Education and Mobile Learning and STEM: Case Studies in Practice, and has written more than 30 book chapters on all aspects of mobile learning. He has been responsible for large arge-scale mobile learning implementations, small research interventions, capacity building, major evaluations and curriculum development. He is an international speaker and has worked with international agencies and corporates. He is among global top 2% in his field and has been invited to establish a UNESCO Chair based on his work with disadvantaged and development contexts.
