Overall Goals

• Develop teaching Arabic to speakers of other languages.

• Tackle the weakness in this field at the level of teachers and learners.

• Design curricula using the state of the art of technology regarding second language acquisition.

• Integrate theoretical and applied linguistics to other specializations in other departments.

• Assist graduates find job opportunities.

• Integrate other departments of other languages to this specialization for more interaction, awareness, and bridging other cultures. This will help develop comparative linguistics in these departments, and increase their awareness in the learners’ error analysis. 

Specific Goals

• Start a new specialization in the Palestinian universities.

• Imbue the job market with (create) new job opportunities.

• Assist foreign students to enroll in and join this program online.

• Increase program candidates’ competency with modern teaching and learning strategies by employing educational technology.

• Develop scientific research in Arabic teaching and learning by incorporating both the applied and the theoretical parts of Arabic language teaching and learning.

• Broaden out the horizons of An-Najah National University that will enrich the scholars’ expertise in the teaching-learning process, and consolidate the academic relations with the world community.
