Program Description

The Master’s Program in Intelligent Systems Engineering prepares students to design, develop, and evaluate intelligent systems capable of addressing complex environmental, social, and economic challenges. Such systems are increasingly essential in a broad range of sectors, including transportation, healthcare, energy, safety and security, logistics, information and communication technology, manufacturing, and agriculture.

The program provides students with a solid foundation in sensing, operation, and control systems, enabling them to analyze real-world situations and develop predictive or adaptive solutions based on data. In doing so, students gain the ability to move beyond data collection and analysis toward the development of intelligent, practical interventions that enhance efficiency, support decision-making, and improve performance across professional environments.

Program Details

Fields of Application

Intelligent systems have become integral to many vital sectors, including transportation, healthcare, energy, safety and security, logistics, information and communication technology, manufacturing, agriculture, and related fields.

Teaching and Learning

The program adopts a variety of teaching and learning methods, including lectures, seminars, discussion panels, collaborative working groups, and the preparation and presentation of academic studies and research.

Technology-enhanced learning is promoted through the Moodle platform on the university website, along with interactive forums that support academic and social communication.

The program employs modern teaching methods and tools supported by a strong infrastructure that includes specialized laboratories and advanced learning resources.

It also encourages self-directed learning and motivates students to benefit from library services and electronic resources.

Research is a central component of the program and is integrated throughout the period of study, culminating in the completion of the Master’s thesis.

Assessment Methods

Student achievement is assessed continuously throughout the semester using the following evaluation methods:

  • Midterm and final examinations

  • Research papers

  • Practical projects

The weighting of these assessment components varies according to the nature and objectives of each course.
