Mission
The mission of the program is to educate and provide the students with research and academic skills and meet the demand of the community (local and regional) for skilled and ethical professionals who could participate efficiently in the development and leadership of the industry and government working in the animal sector.
Vision
The vision of the program is part of the vision of the Faculty of the Graduate Studies. The program seeks to improve scientific research in animal production and to increase the knowledge related to animal agriculture with the ultimate goal of advancement of the local and global communities.
Industry
An-Najah’s Faculty of Agriculture has signed a series of cooperation agreements in the field of Scientific Research with a number of non-governmental institutions such as the Palestine Poultry Company, the Palestinian National Centre for Agricultural Research and the Palestinian Food Industries Union (PFIU).
Students can conduct their scientific research inside Palestine Poultry Company’s building with partial funding .
The Palestine Poultry Company is working on funding students enrolling in this programme with full fee coverage, provided that the research topics are in the company’s concerns.
The faculty’s academic staff also has research cooperation with the Palestinian National Centre for Agricultural Research of the Palestinian Ministry of Agriculture.
Teaching and Learning
The programme adopts teaching and learning methods which include multimedia, internet technologies and modern display devices to guarantee more effective outcomes.
Students also conduct scientific research on different topics of animal production fields to address problems regarding the subject.
Coursework and Assessment
Students are to be evaluated through exams, periodical reports and research papers over the academic semester.
At the end of each semester, teachers prepare detailed reports on the course teaching methods, students’ performance and possible suggestions to enrich the course material.
