An-Najah’s Faculty of Law and Political Science Renews Membership in the International Association of Law Schools for 2026
As part of its ongoing efforts to advance the quality of legal education and strengthen its international academic presence, the Faculty of Law and Political Science at An-Najah National University has renewed its membership in the International Association of Law Schools (IALS) for 2026, reaffirming its commitment to global standards in the development of academic and research programs.
The International Association of Law Schools is one of the leading global bodies dedicated to advancing legal education. It brings together a wide network of law faculties worldwide and promotes international academic cooperation, the exchange of expertise and best practices, and the development of cross-border legal education programs—preparing students to operate in multicultural and multi-jurisdictional legal environments.
The renewal reflects the University’s distinguished academic standing at the international level and underscores the success of its vision to expand impactful global partnerships and build sustainable bridges of cooperation with international academic institutions, in ways that serve students, research, and university staff.
This step also aligns with the strategic plan of the Faculty of Law and Political Science, which aims to advance legal education in accordance with best international standards and strengthen academic networking with law schools worldwide. Such efforts contribute to enhancing the quality of academic programs, modernizing teaching methodologies, and expanding opportunities for joint scientific research. The renewal further opens new avenues for student and faculty exchange, participation in international conferences and scholarly activities, collaborative research initiatives, and access to training and academic programs with leading educational institutions—thereby enhancing graduates’ readiness for both local and global labor markets.
Commenting on this achievement, Dr. Noor Adas, Dean of the Faculty of Law and Political Science, affirmed that renewing the Faculty’s membership in the International Association of Law Schools represents a qualitative step reflecting the Faculty’s commitment to enhancing the quality of legal education and advancing its academic programs in line with global developments. She added that the Faculty will continue expanding its international academic relations to strengthen opportunities for scholarly and research exchange, increase its presence on international legal platforms, and support its trajectory toward further leadership and excellence.
For his part, Prof. Abdel Naser Zaid, President of An-Najah, noted that the renewal of the Faculty’s membership in the International Association of Law Schools aligns with the University’s strategy to consolidate its position as a leading academic institution regionally and internationally. He reaffirmed the University’s continued commitment to supporting international partnerships and advancing the educational and research environment to achieve the highest standards of quality and global academic accreditation.
