An-Najah University Hosts Awareness Activities for the Kidney Failure Patients Association
On Wednesday, November 26, 2025, the Kidney Failure Patients Association in Nablus organized awareness activities at the Faculty of Medicine and Allied Medical Sciences at An-Najah National University. The events aimed to raise awareness about kidney failure and to familiarize students with the association’s role in providing medical, psychological, and social support to patients.
The event was attended by representatives of the association, led by Samir Al- Khayat and Ms. Amal Soufan. From the University side, participants included Dr. Malik Alqub, Director of the Department of Applied and Allied Medical Sciences; Dr. Heba Salah, Director of the Department of Biomedical Sciences and Basic Clinical Skills; and Dr. Mohammad Abuawad, Head of Physiology Department.
The event featured several educational corners, including an introduction to the association to present its mission and support programs; a medical awareness corner providing simplified information about the disease, its causes, and prevention methods; a patient work corner displaying products and handicrafts to support patients’ economic empowerment; a support and donations corner explaining assistance mechanisms and care programs; and a healthy nutrition corner offering specialized dietary guidance and distributing awareness leaflets.
