Prof. Abdulnaser Nour from An- Najah Publishes Study in Future Business Journal
Prof. Abdulnaser Nour from An-Najah National University, together with researchers from the Arab American University, has published a scientific paper in the Future Business Journal, with an impact factor of 2.70, issued by the global publisher Springer.
The recent study highlights the importance of enhancing the quality of Accounting Information Systems (AIS) within Palestinian municipalities, given their direct impact on improving the quality of financial reports, increasing the accuracy of information provided to decision-makers, and elevating transparency and disclosure levels. The study’s findings indicate that developing the components of the accounting system—including alignment, integration, flexibility, IT infrastructure, and security—contributes to building more effective governance structures within municipalities and strengthens their capacity to secure international grants and adopt sustainable financial management practices.
This study addresses a significant research gap in the literature on the management of Palestinian municipalities, as it is among the few studies that thoroughly examine the relationship between the quality of accounting systems and the effectiveness of official reporting. It provides a practical framework that municipalities can use to enhance their financial and administrative performance. This work represents an important knowledge contribution that helps improve the efficiency of the municipal sector and strengthens public and donor confidence in the integrity of financial data.
These results come from a new scientific study prepared by Prof. Abdulnaser Nour from the University’s Faculty of Business and Communication at An-Najah University, in collaboration with colleagues from the Arab American University. The study was published in the prestigious Future Business Journal (FBJ), issued by Springer, indexed in Clarivate Analytics and Web of Science – ESCI.
The University affirms its pride in this scientific achievement, which reinforces the presence of its researchers in the global research arena and contributes to supporting the development of financial and administrative policies in Palestine, thereby promoting local development and enhancing good governance.
