An-Najah Holds the Kickoff Meeting for the EmpoweerNEET Project Funded Under the Interreg NEXT MED Program
An-Najah National University held the preliminary kickoff meeting for the EmpoweerNEET – Upskilling NEETs through Social and Solidarity Economy project on Wednesday, 19 November 2025. The project aims to empower young people who are not in education, employment, or training (NEETs) across six countries—Palestine, Spain, Greece, Lebanon, Tunisia, and France—by developing their skills within the framework of the social and solidarity economy. An-Najah National University serves as the project’s coordinator and grant holder.
The meeting opened with welcoming remarks from Dr.Imad Ibrik, the project director, who presented the project’s overarching vision and structure, including its work packages. Participants emphasized the importance of collaboration among partner institutions and the need to achieve the expected indicators and deliverables throughout the implementation period.
The meeting concluded with a reaffirmation of the commitment to advancing the project’s planned activities and strengthening joint efforts between An-Najah National University and its partners to empower young people and open new opportunities for them within the social and solidarity economy.
