An-Najah Law & Political Science Team to Represent Palestine at the 2025 Arab Human Rights Moot Court Finals

After excelling in all qualifying stages

The Faculty of Law and Political Sciences team at An-Najah National University has earned a place in the final round of the inaugural Arab Human Rights Moot Court Competition 2025, organized by the UN Training and Documentation Centre and hosted by the Doha Institute for Graduate Studies in Doha, Qatar.

Bringing together students from universities across the Arab world, the Competition features intensive training phases, the preparation of written legal memoranda, and oral pleadings before a specialized panel of judges.

An-Najah’s team—Ruaa Jaradat, Yazan Qassas, Inas Shana’ah, and Maryam Zaghloul—is coached by Ms. Bisan Abtli, Coordinator of the project to establish the Palestinian Institute of International Humanitarian Law and Human Rights at the Faculty. Having distinguished themselves throughout all previous stages, the team will proudly represent Palestine in this important human rights forum.

This achievement underscores An-Najah National University’s leading role in legal and human rights education and its active presence on the international stage. It enables students to deepen research and legal-analysis skills, hone oral advocacy, and strengthen their understanding of human rights protection mechanisms—enhancing their readiness to engage with rights issues at both the Arab and international levels.
