An-Najah Inaugurates the Region’s Largest and Most Advanced Clinical Skills Development and Simulation Center
Under the patronage of Prof. Rami Hamdallah, Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees of An-Najah National University and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of An-Najah National University Hospital, the university officially inaugurated the Clinical Skills Development, Simulation, and Virtual Reality Center on Sunday, July 27, 2025. The new facility is the largest of its kind among medical faculties in Palestine.
The opening ceremony was attended by Prof. Abdel Nasser Zaid, President of the University; Dr. Jehad Shawar, President of the Palestinian Medical Association; Dr. Iyad Maqboul, CEO of An-Najah National University Hospital; in addition to university vice presidents, deans, faculty members, and administrative staff.
Dr. Fares Abu Shamma, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Allied Health Sciences, emphasized that the center marks a transformative step in clinical education. It offers a cutting-edge training environment that integrates clinical simulation, artificial intelligence, and virtual reality technologies, enabling students to build and refine essential and advanced clinical skills before, during, and even after their clinical rotations.
Attendees expressed their pride in An-Najah National University's commitment to academic excellence and its ability to provide students with diverse learning opportunities that position the university as a regional and international leader. The new center reinforces the university’s standing alongside top medical institutions in the region and around the world.
