An-Najah Expands International Veterinary Training with UAE Institutions

تعدل الفقرة الالوى:As part of An-Najah National University’s ongoing efforts to provide international training opportunities for its students, Dr. Belal Rahhal, Dean of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and Agricultural Engineering, visited several leading UAE institutions in the field of veterinary medicine, including University of Al Dhaid, the Sharjah Equestrian and Racing Club.
During the visit, Dr. Rahhal held a series of productive meetings to discuss prospects for academic and research collaboration between An-Najah and these prominent institutions. The discussions also focused on developing specialized training programs for students in the Department of Veterinary Medicine, with particular emphasis on exchanging expertise in horse care and treatment and enhancing the quality of practical education through partnerships with advanced centers in this field.
As part of these efforts, the parties agreed to launch an annual training program under which ten veterinary medicine students will be selected each year to participate in hands-on training courses at the Sharjah Equestrian and Racing Club and the Sharjah Equine Hospital. This program aims to immerse students in a professional environment where they can directly engage with clinical cases and apply modern equine treatment practices, thus boosting their readiness for local and international job markets.
This collaboration has already commenced, with four veterinary medicine students currently training at the Sharjah Equestrian and Racing Club and the Sharjah Equine Hospital for two months as the first phase of the program.
Dr. Rahhal emphasized that this visit aligns with An-Najah’s mission to strengthen academic and scientific cooperation and provide exceptional international training opportunities for its students — helping to prepare competitive academic and professional cadres for the labor market.
