An-Najah National University took part in the Hebron Code Jam 2025, held at Hebron University on April 24, 2025, with the participation of 40 teams from Palestinian universities, including ten teams from the Gaza Strip. The University was represented by four student teams under the supervision of Ms. Ola Mardawi from the Faculty of Engineering. The first participating team included Riham Katout, Ezzat Al-Sharif, and Amjad Kayed. The second team included Mohammad Rayhan, Rasheed Hendawi, and Amr Sous. The third team included Shatha Ahmad, Abdul Kareem Ibrahim, Omar Zeitawi, Aya Saleh, Aya Hajaj, and Mohammad Sholi.


An-Najah’s first team secured seventh place nationwide, while the other teams ranked among the top 20. This participation followed two qualifying rounds held at An-Najah through the Najah Collegiate Programming Contest (NCPC 2025), jointly organized by the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering and the Faculty of Information Technology and Artificial Intelligence, under the supervision of Dr. Mohammad Sawalmeh and Ms. Mardawi. 

Dr. Ahmed Awad, Dean of the Faculty of IT and AI, emphasized the importance of linking programming with real-world problem-solving. Dr. Manar Qamhieh, Head of the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, highlighted the role of such competitions in enhancing students’ technical and analytical skills.

This participation reflects the university’s dedication to providing students with competitive platforms that strengthen their skills and expand their professional horizons.
