An-Najah University Students Explore VLSI Design and Verification at Rawabi

A group of students from the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department at An-Najah National University, the majority of whom are enrolled in the VLSI Design Verification course, participated in a field visit to several leading technology companies in Rawabi. The visit focused on VLSI design and verification within the semiconductor industry and was organized by Dr. Suleiman Abu Kharmeh and Dr. Manar Qamhieh from An-Najah University, along with Sireen Sabi from Cadence Technologies. They were joined by faculty members including Dr. Samer Mayaleh, Dr. Tamer Al-Khatib, and Eng. Ola Mardawi.
The program included a guided tour of Rawabi’s innovation and technology centers, featuring presentations by prominent companies such as ASAL Technologies, Cadence, Orion, and Microsoft. Industry professionals introduced students to advanced VLSI design methodologies, verification tools, and the practical applications of electronic design automation (EDA) technologies.
This enriching experience offered students an in-depth look at the real-world processes behind chip design and validation, strengthening the connection between academic learning and industry practice.
