The event, organized by ALECSO’s Science and Research Department, focused on advancing the green economy in the Arab world, particularly in tourism, through academic collaboration, knowledge exchange, and skills development in sustainable fields.

Dr. Sharaf presented An-Najah’s vision for integrating AI and digital tools to promote sustainability and generate innovative green job opportunities in areas such as smart tourism, eco-agriculture, and renewable energy. He emphasized the need to invest in human capital through forward-thinking education and training.

The meeting brought together ambassadors and academic figures from Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Tunisia, Libya, Egypt, Mauritania, and Palestine, as well as a delegation from Malta’s Institute for Tourism Studies. Sessions explored green skills and sustainable education, concluding with policy recommendations to support green growth across the region.
