Faculty of law and Political Science at An-Najah National University students Abdelnasser Abu Keshek and Seleen Zawawi, recently took part in a study visit to Rome. The visit was organized by the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation, in collaboration with active civil society organizations in the field.

The program focused on combating gender-based violence and promoting gender equality. It featured a series of intensive sessions with experts, theater artists using art as a tool for social awareness, and academics specializing in gender issues and human rights.

The students also participated in an official visit to the Italian Public Prosecutor’s Office in Rome, where they had the opportunity to closely explore the legal frameworks and institutional procedures used in addressing gender-based violence from both judicial and institutional perspectives.

This visit reflects the University’s commitment to fostering the international exchange of legal knowledge and empowering students to engage with global justice and human rights issues. It highlights their competence in representing the University at international forums and contributes to shaping a legally aware, socially conscious generation capable of driving positive change locally and globally.
