In a new achievement that strengthens Palestine’s presence on the international stage, Hisham Hijjawi College of Technology has officially joined the European Forum for Vocational Education and Training (EfVET), making it the first Palestinian and Arab institution to become part of this prestigious European network.

Hisham Hijjawi’s membership in the EfVET Forum follows the participation of its Head of Projects and Studies Unit, Mr. Ala Darwish, in the AI in Education Conference held in Brussels. During the event, Mr. Darwish met forum representatives to explore collaboration, leading to the college's proposed membership to expand partnerships and benefit from training and development opportunities.

In recognition of Hisham Hijjawi’s leadership in vocational education, the EfVET Forum has waived its membership fees. This decision allows the College to fully benefit from the forum’s services and opportunities without financial constraints.

Dr. Amer Massad, Dean of Hisham Hijjawi, hailed the College’s membership in the EfVET Forum as a milestone in expanding its global presence and fostering collaboration with Europe’s top vocational institutions. He credited the College’s board for its continuous support in strengthening international partnerships and reaffirmed the commitment to providing high-quality education aligned with global best practices, ensuring better opportunities for students and graduates.

It is worth noting that Hisham Hijjawi's membership in the EfVET Forum will open significant opportunities for participation in European projects, knowledge exchange with vocational education institutions across Europe, and advanced training opportunities for both students and faculty.

Notes:

EfVET is one of the leading European organizations supporting technical and vocational education and training (TVET). It aims to enhance collaboration among educational institutions, employers, and policymakers to improve the quality and efficiency of educational programs, aligning them with labor market needs. It also serves as an effective platform for participating in the development of policies and projects that strengthen the role of vocational education in economic and social development.
